The Dog Is Still Waiting By The Empty Hospital Bed Witнout Knowing The Owner Has Passed Away
A poignant picture of a dog waiting for his owner next to an empty hospital bed provided another proof that dogs are among the most loving creatures in the world. A photograph that was taken of the horrible incident quickly went viral on social media.
The shelter was filled and no one wanted to adopt Moose, a three-year-old Labrador mix, so he was going to be put down. Fortunately, Moose found a new home after being adopted from Randolph, New Jersey’s Eleventh Hour Rescue.
The grieving dog had finally found a home, but a year later his father passed away from cancer. However, Moose was unaware that his father had passed away; all he was aware of was the need to wait. He is certain that his beloved human would never return, yet he still believes in miracles.
Inconsolable volunteers from Eleventh Hour Rescue moved quickly to get Moose into their haven. Moose was dearly loved by everyone at the shelter, and they made every attempt to place him in a home as soon as possible.
According to Linda Barish, a member of the executive committee, Eleventh Hour Rescue’s stance is “that we take the dogs back irrespective when the owner passes away.” We had no idea this would happen in a million years.
NorthStar Pet Rescue and Eleventh Hour Rescue put Moose’s story and photo online in an effort to locate a nearby foster or adoptive family. Thousands of comments have been posted online in response to the image.
Eleventh Hour Rescue wrote on Facebook that Moose, who was ignorant that “Dad” had passed away, peacefully waited next to his father’s hospital bed for him to return.
When the image gained popularity online, they were inundated with requests to adopt Moose. Three days later, Moose was adopted by his new, forever family, according to Eleventh Hour Rescue.
Social media’s effect has led to Moose finding his forever home. Watch the video below to find out more about what transpired to Moose.
Dogs have feelings, and the endearing image of Moose shows that they may even be more compassionate than people. Please inform your loved ones about this terrible event!
